Utökad information om evenemanget
This event examines how changing public perceptions of the United States influence Sweden’s economic development, competitiveness, and international partnerships. As geopolitical uncertainty increases, public opinion can affect trade, investment, technology cooperation, and the willingness of businesses, governments, and institutions to engage across borders. The discussion will explore the relationship between perception and economic reality, and how trust between countries can shape opportunities for growth and innovation. The session will draw on recent research on Swedish attitudes toward the United States, as well as data on the transatlantic economic relationship and emerging areas of cooperation. Particular attention will be given to technology, industrial competitiveness, investment, and innovation policy. Participants will discuss how Sweden and the United States can strengthen collaboration in strategic sectors and translate economic ties into long-term prosperity.
