Beskrivning av samhällsfrågan

Mental health and integration are deeply interconnected. For displaced Ukrainians, uncertainty, war-related trauma and barriers to support can hinder participation and belonging. How can society share responsibility for creating conditions for wellbeing, inclusion and long-term integration?

Utökad information om evenemanget

Mental health is often treated as an individual issue, while integration is discussed as a policy challenge. But what happens when the two are inseparable? For many displaced Ukrainians in Sweden, war-related trauma, uncertainty, family separation and barriers to support affect both wellbeing and the ability to participate fully in society. This panel explores whether mental health should be understood as a shared societal responsibility and how stronger collaboration between public institutions, civil society and local communities can contribute to both wellbeing and integration. Discussion participants: • Viktoriia Thander, Help Ukraine Gothenburg • Måns Fellesson, Delmi • Sofia Breitholtz, Reach for Change • Alla Tangstad, displaced Ukrainian living in Sweden Moderator: • Anna Hammarstedt, Delmi The conversation will highlight research findings, lived experiences and practical solutions for strengthening mental health, inclusion and and social cohesion.
