Beskrivning av samhällsfrågan
Sweden has many of the world’s best game creators and a long history of sustainability leadership. How can these strengths be combined to take the lead in driving innovation while safeguarding the planet and promoting social sustainability?
Utökad information om evenemanget
Sweden’s games industry combines world-leading creativity and innovation with deep-rooted values of environmental and social sustainability. From indie studios to global publishers, Swedish creators are already lowering their carbon footprint, ensuring safe and inclusive gameplay, building diverse workplaces, and designing games that inspire real-world change. But how can these efforts scale and what role must policy, research, and collaboration play? This is not a drill. With seven of nine planetary boundaries crossed and just four years left to meet the 2030 Global Sustainability Goals, real action and bold leadership are urgently needed. There are no games on a dead planet. The path forward demands joint action across industries, creators, research, advocacy, and NGOs. Policymakers must create the conditions for success. This panel brings together all these perspectives to discuss how we can turn ambition into action for a safe and playful future.
