Beskrivning av samhällsfrågan

Nordic societies are working to strengthen their resilience and comprehensive defence. How can HEIs find their role across state borders in the new geopolitical landscape – in collaboration with public, private and civil society actors?

Utökad information om evenemanget

The Swedish initiative Campus total defence gathers 37 Higher Education Insitutions (HEIs) that want to contribute with education, research and innovation relevant to the comprehensive defence that is being built up by both public and private actors. In Norway, discussions are ongoing about how HEIs may contribute, in Finland there are already collaborations between academia and branches of the defence. This seminar includes participants from the Nordic countries, both representatives of academia, industry and public authorities. Discussions focus on opportunities and challenges when it comes to collaboration in the new landscape, where all Nordic countries are NATO members. The seminar is part of the events organised by Campus total defence in Almedalen and is conducted in English.
