Sweden faces a structural growth challenge marked by slowing productivity, demographic pressure, and intensifying global competition. While AI is often framed as a risk or compliance issue, its core economic potential—boosting productivity and value creation—remains underexplored. This panel starts from a clear premise: AI delivers national impact only when trust, security, and scale are in place. Building on Sweden’s national AI strategy, the discussion focuses on moving from vision to execution—embedding AI in core processes, investing in shared capabilities like data, platforms, and skills, and aligning innovation with regulation without slowing progress. Rather than replacing jobs, AI can augment human capability, speed decision-making, and scale expertise across sectors. Drawing on global examples, the panel explores how to unlock equitable growth by ensuring AI benefits reach SMEs, public services, and all regions.
