Major energy investments are being planned by all democratic countries around the Baltic Sea. This is an important part of Europe's energy transition. Primarily, it concerns plans for offshore wind power and hydrogen. The Baltic Sea could have several Energy Islands; how is this intended to work? What are the driving forces behind this trend, and what are the challenges? We take the temperature of the stakeholders; what does the current development look like? Have the driving forces for this development changed now that the world is moving towards more uncertain times? From cheap green energy to self-sufficiency with fossil-free European energy? We get an overview of energy trends and developments in Europe. And an update on the plans for the Energy Islands of Bornholm and Saaremaa.
