The Russian war against Ukraine made the Ukrainian local communities adapt to new challenges rapidly. The partnership between the national and local authorities and civil society is exceptionally crucial to meet the needs of the people and ensure their participation in post-war reconstruction.

The event will focus on the key elements and priorities of sustainable collaboration between civil society organisations and national and local authorities from Ukraine and other countries in the context of long-term challenges caused by war. Additionally, the event will serve as a platform for presenting the “Unity for Community” project to the public and key stakeholders, facilitating the alignment of project goals, and encouraging active participation. Objectives: 1. Discuss key challenges in sustainable cooperation between the civil sector and local authorities, identify possible solutions, and outline further directions for collaboration, from crisis management to strategic cooperation 2. Present the “Unity for Community” project to the public and key stakeholders, demonstrating its potential in addressing pressing issues, implementing innovative solutions, and creating opportunities for community development.
