Today, AI development is controlled by the tech giants in the US and China. It’s easy to think that you can’t influence it yourself. But for AI to become a resource for everyone – and not reinforce inequalities – more people need to understand and use the technology.

Democracy meant in the beginning what we today call direct democracy. In a direct democracy, the people are actively involved in deciding on various issues. The more "voices" that are involved and provide well-founded input, the better, the more fair and inclusive we can hope for the AI ​​of the future to be. This is a democratic issue that we all have to take responsibility for. AI is no longer the future – it’s here and now. Those who understand and use AI have an advantage, both in their professional and private lives. At the same time, many feel uncertain: How does it actually work? The seminar will also include aspects from London Tech Week in June 2025 about the innovators creating the technologies of the future from a democratic perspective. A panel with experts from different countries in Europe will give input to the subject. Celebration of a successful project will end the seminar/workshop.
