If you fall ill
This is what to do if you fall ill, are injured or need advice about your health:
1. Contact the care centre
In the first instance; turn to your care centre if you need advice about your health. There is a district medical officer, who is an expert in assessing the whole body, at the care centre. If needed, he/she will refer you to other health care specialists. The care centre can also help you with most urgent medical conditions. The care centres have allocated certain times for emergency visits. You’ll find information about the region’s care centres on the www.1177.se website.
2. 1177 - Health care advice online and on the phone
If you need health care advice when the care centre is closed (evenings and weekends), call the Health Care Advisory Service, which is open 24 hours. The phone number is 1177. You can also visit the 1177.se website. The Health Care Advisory Service is a complement to the care centres.
3. 112 - In case of serious injury or illness
If you fall seriously ill, or if there is an accident - call SOS Alarm, phone number 112, and tell them what has happened. The SOS operator will alert the services that you need.
